Enjoyed this book as I grew up in Chandler’s Ford in the 1950s. My grandfather worked in Eastleigh Carriage Works.” Melmerby Hall” was my first spot rumbling through Chandler’s Ford to Eastleigh at about 4pm on a freight train. “Bryn Ivor Hall” the next day. I found some of the text a bit repetitive, with for me, too many detailed accounts of numerous but similar services. However, many pictures and other articles made up for this.
