Stunning scenery. Beautiful rolling landscapes are a constant companion as this railway follows the course of the River Ribble. The stunning scenery necessitated a significant viaduct at Whalley.
Extensive limestone deposits in the area resulted in much cement traffic but dwindling passenger numbers meant prolonged closure. Thus this album contains a wide range of fascinating photographs.
